Join Sandy for his SUMMER OF SERVICE to explore the big benefits of living with a service-orientated attitude. During July, you are invited to do two meditation sittings every day - with the intention to do it for all of humanity - followed by the Free World guided meditation. Week 1 : SERVICE AT HOME

Be of service at home. This means, look for ways to be of service around your home. Instead of doing things out of obligation or perhaps with an underlying resistance, choose to gladly perform acts of service in any which way you can. This may be washing up, doing the ironing, making the dinner, buying some flowers to make the place nice, etc. You may already do these things, but the key is to aim to do it with delight and from a place of self-less service i.e. without aiming to gain anything in return.

Service at home may also include taking the time to give all of your attention to the people you are with or asking how the other people you live with are. If you live alone, then service at home can be extended to include family.  Please share your experiences in the Calm Clan Community Facebook group. 


WEEK 2 : SERVICE FOR FRIENDS 

Be of service for friends. This means, look for ways to be of service around your friends. Instead of doing things out of obligation or perhaps with an underlying resistance, be on the look out for opportunities to gladly perform acts of service in any which way you can. 

This may be calling a friend to find out how they are and listening fully, offering to give someone a lift somewhere, baby sitting, writing a letter or sending a card etc. Please share your experiences in the Calm Clan Community Facebook group. 


WEEK 3 - SERVICE TO SELF

Service to self. This means, look for ways to be of service to your self, including your body. If you are tired, give yourself rest. If you want to meditate, then make sure you make time to do so. If you like to have candles around the place, light them. If you know you like to take walks, take them this week. In short, be willing to be of service to your self. 

It is common to believe that service is an outward movement. By this, that it is something you need to give to others. However, service is a multi-directional thing and includes you giving yourself what you need and want. Please share your experiences in the Calm Clan Community Facebook group.
